Tailor made shirts - the options
There are a number of routes to choose from when creating tailor made shirts, all of which vary in terms of price and the level of fit and number of options available.
There are three main categories:-
Bespoke shirts - These tailor made shirts are the most expensive, but most customisable option. A pattern is created for each customer, and the shirt is made from scratch according the the measurements and the style options that the customer has chosen. Bespoke shirts create the possibility of achieving a perfect fit, as they are individually cut to the customer's particular size. In addition, these tailor made shirts allow the customer to choose from a wider range of fabric, collars and cuff options.
Made to measure shirts - The next step down from bespoke shirts, these tailor made shirts generally involve altering an off the peg sized shirt to fit the customers measurements. For those with a fairly average body shape, these tailor made shirts can give good results, and can offer a wide range of options, as well as being more affordable than bespoke.
Made to order shirts - Finally, these tailor made shirts involve making the shirt in a standard off the peg size, but the style options, such as collars and cuffs are chosen buy the customer, along with the fabric to be used for the shirt.
