Free Business Search Tool For Japanese Companies To Help Small Business Marketing

Dun & Bradstreet Corp. is a provider of business information that has launched a free new business search tool for individuals seeking to identify companies that are located in the areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. This is useful for small business marketing and for companies to assess their financial and business continuity risk exposure resulting from the crisis.

Based on its huge and unique information database, Dun and Bradstreet has identified over 150,000 businesses in the Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate regions. The search for an affected company can be started by entering company name or D-U-N-S number into the database. This will return information on which companies are in the impact zone, but cannot provide on-demand detailed reports due to conditions on the ground. Many companies have been forced to shut down their operations in the affected areas, including Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Canon and more.
